Zain Umar is an experienced professional in the field of international development with over 12 years of multidisciplinary expertise across socio-economic research, program development, monitoring and evaluation, grants and business development, strategic communication, and narrative-building storytelling. His work is centered around improving human development outcomes by linking emotional intelligence with digital communication, creating impactful solutions, and designing comprehensive, positive narratives. Zain employs a multifaceted approach that blends technical expertise, field experience, and strategic insight, using triangulation thematic techniques (Data, Methodological, and Investigative) to address complex development challenges.

Zain’s experience spans a wide range of sectors, including food security, health, climate resilience, gender equality, and education. He has worked extensively on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), leading initiatives that have contributed to community empowerment and policy transformation. His expertise lies in integrating diverse methodologies and data sources to inform strategic decisions, ensuring that development projects are well-rounded, data-driven, and impactful.

Zain’s academic background includes graduation in Business Administration and Econometrics from University of West of Scotland and a non-degree certificate in social jury and law from Harvard University. He is also accredited as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum
